 Car Sound Exhaust System, Inc. has become a worldwide leader in aftermarket catalytic converters and performance exhaust systems since 1979. As an ISO 9001 approved company, Car Sound has made a commitment to exceeding the needs of its customers by providing the highest quality products possible. Car Sound runs a mission critical inventory and order processing application using Wi-Fi bar code scanners that manage the packing and shipping of orders and to facilitate the queuing of manufacturing jobs through the facility. With a recently completed state-of-the art distribution facility in Oceanside, California, Car Sound needed a scalable, secure and highly resilient Wi-Fi network to support its growing operation.

Requirements
  • Resilient Wi-Fi network to run mission critical inventory and order management applications
  • Ubiquitous Tri-mode, dual band (802.11a/b/g) coverage across the entire 250,000 square foot facility
  • Support over 100 client devices including bar code scanners, laptops and Wi-Fi-enabled printers
  • Future proof Wi-Fi equipment to handle new, higher bandwidth applications that will be utilized
  • Use the fewest devices possible to contain equipment, labor, management and installation costs
