Microsoft Events Solves Ultra-High Density Wi-Fi Using Xirrus Wi-Fi Arrays
The Microsoft Events organization resides in the Corporate Marketing Group at Microsoft and is responsible for their events around the world, including the Professional Developer’s Conferences (PDC), Worldwide Partner’s Conferences (WPC), TechEd, to name a few. Microsoft had been trying to solve the challenge of connecting thousands of simultaneous wireless clients in a single room for years, but had been unable to do so. Microsoft partnered with Xirrus beginning in the Fall of 2008 to deliver ultra-high density Wi-Fi. Each and every deployment has been highly successful, delivering connectivity to over 7,000 attendees utilizing all manner of Wi-Fi enabled computer devices.
